What is your name

Is Bayezid (/ˌbɑː.jə.ziːdˈ/, Farsi: بايزيد), after Bayezid Bastami, a ninth century Persian sufi saint, who for all his controversy, is relatively obscure. We don't have any of his works (I think), but others like Rumi wrote about him and mentioned him in his masnavi. 

Bayezid Bastami's name was Abu Yazid. Yazid is based on the triliteral Arabic root meaning 'to increase'. For reasons unknown to me, in Persian this became Bayezid. I read somewhere, or maybe I'm making this up, that he was Bayezid because he wished to be amongst those who increased in knowledge. 

Funny story though: once a man came to Bayezid Bastami saying that he is looking for Bayezid, to which Bayezid Bastami replied that he too is looking for Bayezid. 

Likewise, I am also adept at hide and seek. 

Birthdate

Born on the same day and in the same way as Julius Caesar, 13 July, but hoping not to leave in the same way. Ergo a caesarian cancarian ♋️.

Favorite Song

It's a bit restricting to choose a favorite song, but again if I had to choose, at present it would be Rockstar by Yonaka because who doesn't like a song about themselves.
